9 Step Proprietary Makeup System

How many times have you heard someone say, “I wish I knew how to put my makeup on”. Or “I wish I knew how to do that look”? How many times have you said that to yourself?

The never-ending problem we face is we are constantly being told how to look, what the current trend is (not that the look or trend is wrong), but without being taught the basic techniques and uses of brushes, accessories and makeup to help us get there. And since we have no basic understanding of how to use the makeup and the corresponding tools, we struggle with how to carry out or duplicate the look, which in turn creates a sense of failure and doubt as to our abilities to even apply our everyday makeup.

And while the industry establishes a current makeup trend and begins to tell (and sell) us on it, they fail to tell us that it was a professional makeup artist who knew what they were doing because they knew what the brushes and tools were (and even perhaps a little bit of Instagram photoshop and YouTube editing) that played a huge part in the look, more so than the actual products themselves.

People look different (obviously) and the reasons are many (obviously). Different ages, colors of skin, different shapes of features and the different shapes and textures of the face itself. So, unless you’re twins, it’s likely that it will take the different placement of products or using different techniques, for a person to achieve a look that another person has created.

So, this is where the House of Essex comes in. I have created and developed a proprietary and exclusive 9-step system, so you will know what the various makeup, makeup bushes and accessories are and what their intended purpose is. I believe once you are familiar with a product and how it works, its properties, how it functions, that is when you can step out and play around with it and try different looks, YouTube looks. Because the purpose of my system isn’t to tell you how to do your makeup, but rather to teach and show you what something is, how it functions, how it works so you can confidently apply your makeup the way you want, in the style you want.
